I found this activity that looks like fun for your older preschool child.
Rolling Pin Learning
In the video, the child is listening for a sightword. Various sightwords are written on 3×5″ cards which are folded over. Once the child recognizes the sightword, he “rolls” over it.
This activity would work great to learn letters, numbers, colors, etc while being a fun gross motor activity.
