There are things in the Christian life that I just don’t get. I don’t understand the trinity. And I can’t wrap my brain around God’s will. No wonder my kiddos have trouble keeping the names Jonah and Joseph straight!
Imagine how hard it is for them to understand the concept of “giving your heart to Jesus.” Our church has suggested this book:
In A Heart for Jesus, Juanita Bynum explains that when you give your heart to Jesus, it is not the same heart that beats in our chest. Instead this “heart” is our feelings, thoughts, worries, and wishes. The book even contains a simple prayer for a child to pray, asking Jesus to make their hearts new and clean.
I have added this book to both curriculum during Week 35 & 36 while we study the Wordless Book.
What better book to read to your children and grandchildren than a book that explains the plan of salvation.
Do you have a book that you read to explain the Good News of Jesus?
