A precious Mom emailed me about using the ABCJLM curriculum with a toddler. Here was my response.
Little Man is a toddler. He participates in “school time” during the Bible story, song time, memory verse and the other fun activities that are appropriate for his age.
For example in the 3 Year Curriculum Week 1 – Little Man would do with us:
The books – you can’t read enough to your little one
The Bible Time – use props or flannelgraph
Verse – This usually is a song
Song – Definitely do actions to the songs. You will be surprised how many they will do with you even at this age!
Colors – I would start talking about colors. For example: roll balls back and further that are colored. Say the color every time that the ball is rolled.
From there it will vary from week to week on the fine and gross motor activities and other suggestions. You will have to modify where you can. I would keep doing the 3 Year Curriculum even if it is a couple of years in a row because you will be adding new stuff every time due to developmental changes.
