The Kissing Hand

In my post “Books to Prepare for Kindergarten“, I mentioned the book The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn.  My mom gave this book to Bubs to read before he went to Kindergarten.  On the first day of school his teacher read it to him as well.

Google “the kissing hand” and you will find a 420,000 results.  This book has quickly become a hit among parents and teachers.  This means there are several activies and crafts available to further the reading.  I fell in love with the book right along with my kids.  It is now part of the 4 Year Curriculum – Book of the Week.

This activity could also be used as a Valentine’s Day card as well.

Although we haven’t done this activity yet, I love this cookie cutter that can be purchased to use with this book, on Valentine’s Day or for other special activities.
