Without loving and enjoying God first, we don’t have anything of real value to pass on to our spouse, kids, friends, and world.
Am I just giving away meaningless time and effort or I am giving value to those around me?
Let’s read on:
Your spiritual journey is more important than packing lunches, changing the channel from Disney to the Cartoon Network, and building a retirement fund. Why? Because you cannot give what you do not have. You and I do not produce or generate one ounce of love. “We love because he first loved us” (I John 4:19). It is only after I fill myself with God’s love that I have something to give my spouse, children and grandchildren.
He meets all your needs through Jesus Christ. There are no more expectations on anyone or anything else to give you what you need or desire. He gives it all. No more stress from expectations you create on this earth because all of your expectations are now from Him. It’s comforting to know that He knows exactly what you need and when you really need to receive it.
