Biscuit Meat Casserole is one of those recipes that doesn’t go under the “healthy” category. But it definitely falls under “comfort food.” Yummy!
Brown 2 lbs ground beef and 1 cup chopped onion.
Add softened cheese, soup, and milk. Add salt and ketchup.
Place the mixture in a 9×13 pan and bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
It is extremely important that you bake the meat mixture until it is bubbly. Otherwise the biscuits will not get done. This is a casserole that I premake and freeze sometimes (meat mixture only). In this case, bake the meat mixture for approximately 30 minutes.
Remove the bubbly mixture from the oven and top with 2 can of biscuits.
Sometimes I use frozen biscuits. Check the bag for suggested bake time.
Bake 15-20 minutes more.
Delicious!
