Typically, I am pretty level headed about things. But there are times while watching the news that my mind starts freaking out. Right now there is a lot of unknowns happening in the US’s economy. Depending on which news channel you watch, the outlook can be all doom and gloom.
As a mom, I start worring about my kiddos; providing for them and their needs. Being able to protect them from the world’s evil darts and current events.
I am reading through The Message translation of Proverbs in my devo time. I found these verses towards the end of Proverbs 3.
No need to panic over alarms or surprises,
or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner,
Because God will be right there with you;
He’ll keep you safe and sound.
The world decides when it is time to freak out. God says, “No. I have everything under control. Nestle up to me like a baby chick under my wing. I will protect you and those you love.”
