Ever feel like you have blown it as a parent? Sometimes I want to start over. Take everything that I have learned thus far but start with infants again. Undo all of the wrong.
While reading the book Parenting With Love And Logic by Foster Cline and Jim Fay, I was given some reassurance.
It usually takes one month of love-and-logic parenting to undo one year of tacky parenting. So, if you child is twelve years old, give yourself twelve months to help him or her learn responsibility thinking…. It’s never to late…. The important thing is to build a relationship with our kids that will last a lifetime-long past the end of the teenage years. And it is never too late to work on that.
Relationship…responsibility…
Praise God that I don’t have to travel this road alone! He gives me the wisdom, strength, endurance to continue working to mold our children into godly men and a godly woman.
