The Tiny Bear’s Bible is a cute little board book. The boy one is geared to boys while the pink one is for girls.
Eleven Bible stories are discussed in cute rhyme fashion. This Bible is more about concepts than the actually Bible story. For example, in the story of the Ark, Noah’s name is used in the title only and never in the reading. The two-fold illustrations show a picture depicting the Bible story on one side with a bear picture showing the Biblical concept on the opposite side.
The stories are written to “Tiny Bear.” The bear is referenced in each story. Simply replace the child’s name in these places to make the story more personal.
According to Amazon this Bible is geared toward children ages 4-8. This is a Bible that I could see people giving to a toddler but I don’t feel it is anything that a late preschool or early elementary child would appreciate. While the wording may be age appropriate for the older children, the pictures and rhyming sentences are younger driven.
Thank you to Zonderkidz for giving me the opportunity to review this book.
