Do you ever feel like you are constantly nine steps behind? Just when you think you are close to being caught up, you turn around and everything has been turned upside down.
Do you ever feel like spiritually you are getting no where? Quiet times have been rejuvenating and you feel the Holy Spirit working but yet there is an iron skillet sitting on your heart.
Do you ever feel like you seriously want to go hide in the closet? When things get better, you promise to re-emerge.
Am I knocking on any doors?
Wow…right now we are being hammered with parenting “life.” Discipline issues are wearing me down. I feel weak, vulnerable, and tired. I am short tempered and not a lot of fun to be around (can you hear the “amen” in the background from my husband?).
Wanna know what it is?
I believe it is spiritual warfare. God is wanting to do a great thing and the enemy is freaked out.
While reading the book Praying the Scriptures for Your Children, I have been praying more specific prayers and have started purposely memorizing scripture. The kids are learning the books of the Bible. These are just a few of the things that are going on that the enemy doesn’t want to happen. Period. And he is going to attack us at every angle to stop our focus on the King of Kings.
Interesting conversation overheard between our kiddos last night. Daddy was explaining that some friends are coming over and they are to make good choices. Bubs explained that he would and that he wanted to get satan out of his head. Sweet Pea declared that satan was not welcome; Jesus already lives in her heart.
We did not initiate this conversation. Out of the mouth of babes.
Right here. Right now. I declare that satan is not wanted in our home. God is doing a good thing and I will not ruin it with my attitude and frustration.
