Weekly spelling test are in our future as Bubs gets older. When all four of the kids get into school, I shutter at the thought of preparing four children for spelling test! I think I just found our solution! The SpellQuizzer allows you to enter an entire spelling list into a program that gives the test and checks the answers. Very cool!
Momma C’s Thoughts:
I can not tell you how simple this was. Type in the word, say the word so that it can be recorded, and walla you have a spelling test. If you don’t have a microphone on your computer, you can get one pretty inexpensively at a local retail store.
For me, typing was an excellent way to study. I could see how this program would have been really good for me with my learning style.
Another great thing about this program is that you can save the spelling lists. If you have more than one child and they will have the same spelling lists, save the test for future dates!
Because this program uses the keyboard, the child would have to be familiar with typing and where the keys are (to a point.) Something to remember with younger kids.
Not sure if this is a program that you would use? There is a free downloadable trial version. Also view video demonstrations, visit a community forum, and download spelling lists already created all from the SpellQuizzer website. Download to your computer for $29.95. Pretty cool!
