Keys for Kids is a wonderful devotion available for elementary aged children. Right now, you can get a FREE SAMPLE of this devotional.
Here is a little about the ministry how publishes Keys for Kids:
CBH Ministries, formerly Children’s Bible Hour, is a media ministry targeting kids ages six to twelve with Bible-based materials. We produce radio programs, print materials, and web-based media to teach kids the message of Jesus Christ.
Although we learned about Keys for Kids too late for me, both my brother and sister along with several cousins grew up reading this devotion. Each daily devotion contains scripture reading, a life-lesson story, a key verse, and key thought. You can also view the daily devotions and archives online. Online devotions also include a song.
The website claims the devotional is for children ages 5-12. Although several of the stories are appropriate for early elementary aged children, there are some topics covered that I don’t feel my kiddos are ready for. While we do use Keys for Kids during breakfast time, I skim the stories before reading as some stories we skip over due to content. For older children, these stories could be wonderful conversation starters.
If you are needing something new for your elementary child, I highly encourage you to give this a try!
