Bubs has been waking up between 9:00 and 11:00 p.m. almost every night for about two weeks now. He used to do this pretty consistently from the age of 18 months until about three and a half. Now it is back. I am sure that it goes along with the harder days that we are having right now as well.
The hardest part is that he is inconsolable during these times. He truly isn’t awake and has to work through them. We learned early on that if we try to help him through this, they last longer and get harder. Typically we just tell him to lay back down and hold his hand until he calms down.
When he was younger, if we could get him to drink milk, that would wake him up and he would pop out of it. Unfortunately, he doesn’t like milk anymore!
Until then, we will continue to work through all of this and try to figure out what to do!
