In Sept 2009, I raved about the updated version of the book Big Thoughts for Little People. I finally got it added to the 4 Year Curriculum.
The book does not contain pages numbers but instead is lettered A-Z. Each letter of the alphabet contains a Biblical concept. There are questions that cover the reading and ask the child to interpret the large picture on the adjacent page. Embedded in the picture are various items that start with the key letter.
Although some of the letters correspond with the letters learned in the Weekly lesson, the focus is on the pages corresponding with the character education or Fruit of the Spirit.
For example:
4 Year Week 2
Character Word – Obey
Big Thoughts for Little People: Letter M (M is for Messy – obedience to pick up toys)
We also use this book with the 3 Year Curriculum to coordinate with the letter of the alphabet we are working on.
