Creative Correction

I have suggested the book Creative Corrections to many Moms and it is listed on the Mommy Survival Books page on ABCJLM.  Lisa Whelchel (you will remember her as Blaire on the Facts of Life) has done a wonderful job making this book user friendly. 

I love the “Toolbox” sections that give you practical advice in raising godly children.  The book is filled with scripture that specifically targets sins that toddlers and preschoolers struggle with.  Lisa also talks about raising a son with ADHD and homeschooling. 

This is one of those “must-have” books for all moms.  I highly suggest that you purchase and highlight throughout this book.  It is one that you will keep coming back to. 

I do want to make a point that there are negative feelings toward this book.  As with every book, it is your responsibility to place advice that you read under the magnifying glass of the Holy Word.  But, it is my opinion that the biggest complaints are items that are taking out of context. 

Creative Correction is also available in a Bible Study.  Although I personally have not had the opportunity to do this, I have a friend who has and raves the study.  This would be a great study to do at church with your Women’s Ministry or in your own home with neighborhood women.
