With the end of the school year approaching, it is time to express our thanks to those teachers who have loved on our kiddos. So, today and kids and I sat down to create thank you cards for their Mother’s Day Out teachers.
This Thank-You Card came from an idea on the website Enchanted Learning. Bubs added his personal touches as he loves to paint. This card is made from a brown paper bag, string, and a piece of stationery. I got the ideas of the wording from a friend. Bubs finished the sentences in his own word. The card provided several opportunities for fine motor practice.
Ms. _______
Thank you for being my teacher this year. My favorite memory is ______________. You are such a special teacher because you ______________.
Bubs
This card followed the same thought as the previous one but I did it on construction paper. Little Man colored on the letter.
Sweet Pea created this double-sided Butterfly Card from Enchanted Learning as well. This card provided scissor practice, glueing, and writing. Sweet Pea also wanted to add some water-color painting for fun.
On the back of the card we wrote the same letter as above with Sweet Pea answering the questions.
From the pictures you can tell that these cards were not made by an adult. That is the point. As much as possible, allow the child to do the work. It means a lot more to the teacher and it becomes a valuable lesson on some many levels for your child.
