Review: Hermie Who is in Charge

Hermie and Friends Series #15: Who Is in Charge Anyway?, DVD

Hermie: A Common Caterpillar is one of my absolute favorite books to read to my kids.  The entire point of the book is God saying, “I am not finished with you yet.”   What better lesson to teach your kids?  God has big plans for each and every one of us.  So when a Hermie review came up, I immediately told the kids. We all were excited. 

The Who Is in Charge Anyway? DVD follows the same concept as the Common Catepillar book.  In the DVD, a flea named Freddie is the main character.  He sees all of the impressive abilities that the other bugs have and asks God to show him what makes him special.

In the telling of this story, both new and previous animation is used.  This is the first Hermie DVD that we have viewed so the previous animation was new to us.  Because of this, I got a little lost at times.   I was concerned the kids were struggling to stay up with the changes between the past and present, but if you asked them, they would each say that they really enjoyed the DVD.  They have asked several times since to watch it again. 

In conclusion…Loved the message just found the delivery a little rough.
