Thankfully you can find books on about any topic – especially for those situations in your child’s life that are new, different, or difficult. Bubs has received several Kindergarten books to help him make the transition. Here are four books that we have enjoyed reading.
The Kissing Hand
My mom found this book and sent it to Bubs. This is one of the best preschool books that I have read. Others think so too as you can find numerous activities to go along with this book by simply googling the title. I even found a “Kissing Hand” cookie cutter. I highly suggest that you add this book to your personal library. I liked this book so much that it has been added to the 4 Year curriculum – Book of the Week. View activities and links here.
The Berenstain Bears Go to School
If you follow this blog you already know my opinion on Berenstain Bear books. Almost any book by the Berenstain couple promises to be a winner.
Franklin Goes to School
You know that Franklin books are going to have a positive message and kids enjoy them! A win-win! We really enjoyed reading this story. Bubs related to Franklin’s fears but also appreciated how Franklin found school to be so much fun.
The Night Before Kindergarten
A silly story, the child sees that going to Kindergarten is hard on parents too. We had fun laughing about parents crying as they left the school.
