Boy does my family suffer when I haven’t taken care of myself. Sounds selfish, doesn’t it? But for those of you who are stay-at-home moms, you know exactly what I mean. Those mornings when I haven’t fixed my hair. On those days when I haven’t spent time in the Word. Those weeks when my eating has been very lopsided and the scales aren’t where I desire them to be. All of this affects me. In turn, this affects my family.
Focus on the Family has compiled a set of articles to help moms take care of themselves. I encourage you to pray before reading these and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you. In what area of your life are you needing to take better care of yourself so that you can better care for your family.
