Every Which Way to Pray (Everyday Zoo)
Hayley and Harley Hippo believe that they know everything there is to know about prayer. Harley has the book The Rules of Prayer. Through the help of several Everyday Zoo friends, the siblings learn that the book is filled with rules that are in fact false. Instead of having to pray “just right” the Hippos learn they can pray wearing anything (or nothing at all!), while doing anything, and saying whatever they want to tell God.
Momma C’s Thoughts:
I can’t say it enough; we love this book. The illustrations are inviting. The characters become household names. The humor is kid tested, mother approved. I so appreciate how easy Joyce Meyer demonstrates prayer. This sentence from the book sums it up:
Prayer is simple. You talk. You listen. You praise. You thank. You ask advice. You stay in touch with your maker. Period.
