Below is a list of free computer games available online which we have stumbled upon, our kids use at school, or their teachers have suggested to us. All are educationally driven. Several of these we will use for fun learning this summer.

Cool Math Games
Games and Lessons for K-2nd grade. My kids really like to play these games. Interestingly some of their favorite games have little to no educational value! So, I have to encourage them to play the learning activities.

Classic stories (several which are in the ABCJLM Preschool Curriculum) are read to the viewer.

Word to Picture and Picture to Word activities. Wonderful Visual Perception activity for early elementary.
Spelling City –
an online spelling program. Even if you aren’t to the “spelling words”
stage, this is a site to definitely keep in mind for later. This is a
wonderful program to help your child work on their spelling words. There
are several games available to make the progress a little quicker. Very
cool!

Game to match letters and their beginning sounds.
Storynory

Another great site to listen to great Kids’ radio programs including We
Kids with Mr. Nick. I play these programs as the kids color or play with
toys.
Adventures in Odyssey
Focus on the Family audio program for kids. Love the stories and character education. My kids listen during quiet time and as we travel.

Covering Several Objectives
Starfall
Fun games, great alphabet printouts and seasonal activities. This free
program is divided into four parts – ABC, Learn to Read, It’s Fun to
Read, and I’m Reading. Begin with the ABC section to prepare your child
to have phonetic background needed to read. Various activities have
been linked throughout the curriculum.

This site includes fun games and activities that are easy to use. I especially like the Elmo Potty Time game. I truly believe that this helped in our potty training!!!
Chateua Meddybemps
This site is a little different than your typical preschool site but it is well worth your visit. Print out an entire village of buildings or read a story about the letters in the alphabet. Very fun!

Charlie Church Mouse Preschool Cd – These Cd’s are suggested in the ABCJLM Preschool Curriculum. Our kiddos love to play these Bible-based games. I love the learning that goes along with them.
