Sneak Peak on a Brand New Children’s Book and Fabulous Giveaway

07/23/2014 by Heidi

Boy am I excited!

We’ve been given the exclusive opportunity to view what no one else has had the chance to see!  How cool is that?

Zondervan Publishing is allowing me to share with the ABC Jesus Loves Me and Our Our-of-Sync Life family a brand new Zondervan book called Goodnight, Ark available on August 5th.  From the Zondervan website:

Beds are ready. Food is stored. Noah hollers, “All aboard!” It’s bedtime on Noah’s ark, but the animals can’t sleep because of the storm. Two by two, they crowd into Noah’s bed, creating a sticky situation. Will Noah ever get them back to their own beds? Climb aboard the ark for this rollicking, yet ultimately restful bedtime story as Noah finds a way to make things calm and cozy, even in the midst of a storm.

Click the video below to see the dynamic illustrations and cute text, perfect for bedtime reading.  Also, this book would be an excellent additional to the other ideas on the ABCJLM website to teach Noah’s Ark.

If you are unable to see the video above, click this link to view on the blog.
And if this isn’t cool enough, Zondervan has allowed me to giveaway not one…but 5 copies of this brand new book.  All you have to do is enter to win!  Keep it for yourself or give as a gift!

To Enter:

If you would like to win one of the five copies of Goodnight, Ark, simply share your favorite bedtime story in the comments below.  (If reading from email or RSS feed, click this link to leave a comment on the blog.)

The Rules:

One entry per person.  US and Canada addresses only, please.
No entries after 6:00 AM (CST) Thursday July 31st.
Winners will be randomly selected and announced on this blog on July 31st after the sweepstakes has ended.

And return Friday to this blog as I will share an extension activity written by Goodnight, Ark‘s author Laura Sassi to teach patterns.

Thank you to Zondervan for allowing me to feature and giveaway this book!

The Bible in Pictures for little eyes is one of my favorites. They are great to read to your child before bedtime. They have little questions that you can ask to make sure they are listening to the story.

  44. writersideup.com says

    07/26/2014 at 6:32 pm

Now that's a tough one, though Goodnight Moon tends to come to mind pretty easily (as is shown in many of these comments). At bedtime I read almost any kind of book to my son when he was little and there are only some "bedtime" stories that I think truly lend to sleepiness, but I CAN say that, just recently, with the release of this book, I have a favorite "new" book for bedtime (shared it with a friend last night and she bought a copy, too!):

SLEEPYHEADS by Sandra J. Howatt, illustrated by Joyce Wan 😀 The story is so sweet and, along with the beauty and coloring of the illustrations, I think it truly does lull a little one toward sleep 🙂

Can't wait for Laura's book to be added to the list for my future grandchildren! 😀
