Really Woolly Bible Storiesis a new board-book Bible for young children. Published by Tommy Nelson, it follows the “Really Woolly” theme by DaySpring. Seventeen Bible stories are summarized using rhyming text. The Bible reference is given on each story to further the story of the characters.
Momma C’s Thoughts:
I read this book to our family as we traveled locally. The kids enjoyed hearing their favorite Bible stories and looking at the cute pictures. I was happy to see that the need to rhyme didn’t affect the accuracy of the Scriptures. Loved how the Bible reference is also given.
Amazon states this book to be for ages 4-8. I would prefer to see children this age reading a Bible with a little more depth. I don’t believe that a child would actually learn the stories and application from this book. The stories contain some pretty big words that would require some explanation from an adult. Other than the big words, this would be a good book to have for a toddler or preschooler with the understanding of it being supplemental and not their typical devotional-time Bible.
Overall good book to use as a supplement.
Thank you to Tommy Nelson for giving me the opportunity to review this book.
