A sign hangs in a corner of our playroom:
The concept of I-Land came from a Patch the Pirate Cd – Kidnapped on I-Land. The story is about a boy names Silas who wants what he wants! Being selfish, Silas takes a trip to I-Land where he learns first hand about Jesus’ unselfish love.
We use “I-Land” as a timeout area to remind our kiddos that the choice they just made was selfish. I want to remind them that the choices they make need to be ones that God wants them to make. After a timeout, we talk about the choice made and what a better choice would have been. Then if need be, they go and apologize to the person that they didn’t show love and respect to.
Have a disclipline measure that you use to mold character? Let me know!
I highly suggest any of the Patch the Pirate CD’s with their solid Biblical foundation and simple songs.
