It has been a tough few weeks around here with Bubs. The OT has seen a difference at our last two therapy appointments as well. Behavior wise Bubs is very spacey and defiant. He has begun to put his hands to his ears when he is in trouble.
Of course this insubordinate behavior is not acceptable in our home and consequences occur. Today he picked up rocks which did seem to help his behavior.
One thing we have noticed during these down times is that he is very inquisitive. As he plays, he continually looks for cause and effect. He tries various thing just to see what will happen. The problem is that the activities that he wants to try are not always safe nor wise.
Bubs seems to be “out to lunch” and not paying attention to what is going on around him. He doesn’t do little things simply because he is not paying attention.
I keep reminding myself that he is doing so much better than what he was. It is just hard to go into a slump again.

I'm just getting to "know you" through this blog, but I can tell without a doubt, your little Bubs is one lucky kid to have you for his Momma. God sure knows who to bless with these spunky, challenging, complicated kids. You sound like you're doing an amazing job of seeking out the help he needs, and providing a whole lot of it yourself. Way to go!
