Cars, roads, buildings, and bridges equals a child’s play place, laughter, and fun!
Transportation is one of the units in the 5 Year ABCJesusLovesMe Preschool Curriculum. So, Little Man, Sweet Pea, and I built a road system using painter’s tape (do not use masking tape as it will leave a residue). With a basic figure-eight setup, we made three exits to visit various places.
After creating the road, we discusses places that cars can take us. Using Duplo Legos, the kids helped me build their favorite stops – church, Walmart, Sonic, carwash, and our houses. We added some animals and bridges along the road as well.
The kids wanted to drive on the blue tape but I explained that the tape is like the white lines on the road. Drivers are to stay between these lines to be safe.
We really enjoyed this activity and I know it will be one that we visit again!
