With my added desire to fill my heart and the heart of my kiddos with God’s word, I have put together Memory Verse Cards for the ABC Jesus Loves Me Curriculum.
Each card contains the verse, reference, a corresponding picture, and a piggyback song or CD to sing the verse. Also listed is the curriculum and week that the verse is used in the Lesson Plans (i.e. 4 Year Curriculum, Week 6).
With each curriculum, the memory verses increase in difficulty. The verses focus on character education, God’s promises, and obedience, as well as other Biblical concepts. Many consider these verses ones that all children should memorize.
Each curriculum contains a set of cards available in the Curriculum Workbooks. Cut out and glue both the front and back of each card to cardstock for extra durability. Rubber band together or hole punch and combine with a c-ring. Keep in the car, by the child’s bed, or near the dinner table for quick reference and review for the whole family.
We keep our sets of Memory Verse Cards in the van to work on as we travel about. Each morning on the way to school we work on a new verse as well as review a couple of past verses.
As I stated in the blog post Doing vs. Planning, “If you can’t do the entire ABCJLM curriculum, no fears. Just do something.” The Memory Cards are a great place to start!
