Oh, how my understanding of the rapture and Tribulation period is deepening during my study of Daniel by Dr. David Jeremiah.
I learned in 2 Thessalonians 2 that there are three things that must happen before the Tribulation can occur. But, it is the first one that has pricked my heart. “Falling away comes first.” (v.3)
Dr. David Jeremiah declares this as a “time when the Church at large leaves the faith.”
That time is now.
Examples.
Grace is twisted to allow any behavior.
Absolutes cease because love trumps all.
Lacking time to focus on a relationship with God is justified because God forgives.
First, some of you are attending and following churches/pastors who have fallen away from the faith. What your “Rockstar” preachers share every weekend is a watered-down Gospel message to please the crowd and, for some, pad their pocket books. Instead of you gleaning wisdom from the Word, you are blindly following what other people claim the Bible says.
Second, some of you are wishy-washy about your relationship with God. You believe the lie that you don’t have time to read your Bible and pray daily. God is your go-to when you need Him, but you have it covered the rest of the time. God is love, but you ignore the other attributes of His character shared in the Old and New Testament.
Third, some of you don’t have a personal relationship with God. You know He is a good God, but you don’t know Him as Daddy, Savior, and Lord of your life. You have never experienced the power and peace of yielding your life to God’s leading. You are clinging to things of this world and believe you have time to figure it out. Don’t wait any longer.
The time is now.
I don’t claim to know when Jesus will return for His church, but I believe it is sooner than later.
Are you ready?

When you stand before the Lord, will you hear “Well done, good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:23)!” or will you defend your choices with a list of excuses?
Today is the day to have a personal, growing relationship with Your Heavenly Father.
