Although not a children’s Bible, this is a Bible story book that includes key verses and parent pages called “Family Talk” and “Family Fun” to assist adults in discussing the stories with children.

We always put up our tree and lights the day after Thanksgiving. We also celebrate Advent with an advent wreath and calendar with a velcro, cloth nativity scene.

My husband grew up with an Advent banner that had his name on it and 25 strings with different items attached. He quickly asked his mom to make them for our kiddos, as they arrived. The kids, like their dad, look forward to a little treat every morning as we count down the days to Christmas!
We are a young family and our oldest daughter is only 3 so we are beginning to start our own traditions as a family and that is my favorite part! Making memories is so special 🙂 A few of the traditions we have so far are putting up our tree the day after Thanksgiving, making Christmas crafts/cookies (i love seeing handmade decorations around the house), Daddy makes a big breakfast on Christmas morning, and we just bought our children a kid's nativity scene so we can teach them the real meaning of Christmas!

Although we've been married awhile,our daughter is only just old enough to start really understanding the things we are trying to teach so this year and last have mostly been spent instilling the true meaning of Christmas by marrying up the secular things she sees and giving them a religious base. This year she was big enough to help put the nativity together and I'm sure that will be an enduring tradition as well as her new advent calendar.

ever since I was little, our tradition was to open a present on Christmas Eve. (usually it ended up being pajamas or something) But now, our family does the "Something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to read" gift idea so that doesn't leave much to hand out the night before! I'm thinking this year we'll have to change it up by having a family game or movie to open so we can all enjoy the night together!
We get the lego advent Calendar and do that together as we count down!
We put up our tree and decorations the day after thanksgiving. We go to my inlaws for Christmas eve and eat breakfast for dinner.

Still trying to build some traditions as a young family. One of our traditions is when we get our tree. We get it the weekend after Thanksgiving to enjoy it as long as possible. We also go to the same place every year on Christmas Eve and Christmas which has always been something our family looks forward to every year! God Bless
We have a lot of little traditions but what bring them all together is our advent calendar. We have little pictures that represent a new activity to do each day. It goes from as simple as hot cocoa night or movie night, to a parade, party, craft or cookie night.
