From the moment the news was released last week, we have struggled to keep up with orders! The response to the remodeled 4 Year Curriculum has been amazing.

Teaching Tips
The new 4 Year Curriculum Guide is FILLED with teaching tips to help you be successful. I explain the why’s and how’s in ways that a teaching degree isn’t required.
WHY the objective is included in the curriculum and WHY it is so important for the child’s academic and Biblical foundation.
HOW to implement the objectives into your classroom or home. HOW to make the learning play-based.
Here are a few questions that are answered in the Lesson Plans:

Handwriting
Because children mature at different rates and come to the 4 Year Curriculum with varied amounts of learning, the handwriting process got a complete overhaul.
1) 5-Step Process
The worksheets have been redesigned to allow the child to follow a 5-step process to success. This allows the child to move at a pace that he/she is developmentally ready for.
2) Independent Work
Because of how it is created, the handwriting can be tailored specifically to the child using it. That means in a classroom, every child can be working on the letter J at the level they need.
3) Smaller Worksheets
Each handwriting worksheet can now be divided into four pieces making it easier for the child to handle. It also allows the child to completely focus on that letter or number.
4) Letter Chant and Number Rhymes
The worksheet contains the chants and rhymes for you to easily use as the child writes.
Themes
This is a feature that preschool teachers wanted added to the curricula! Each week covers a topic such as God Gave Me Emotions, Transportation, Postal Workers, Rain, and the Library. Then, the math and science activities, poems and rhymes, Book of the Week, and Bible story coincide with the theme! 💕 You have the opportunity to take the themes as far as you desire with additional crafts, field trips, products, books, dress-up days, and videos.
Pre-Reading
Probably my favorite aspect of the 4 Year Curriculum: 2nd Edition is the addition of pre-reading activities. The phonemic awareness activities that help a child be able to hear, identify, and manipulate individual sounds. These activities include poems, rhymes, learning syllables, reading Color Books, and rhyming. All of these are important for a child to be able to truly read his or her first word.
And…
I haven’t even told you about the redrawn Bible worksheets with more emotion and clarity.
Or, that the 4 Year Workbook is completely horizontal allowing for little bodies to easily use the activity sheets.
Or, how about the Visual Perception worksheets now coincide with the theme.
Or, how the new layout of the Lesson Plans makes it super easy to follow.
Oh wait…I haven’t told you how every Bible verse contains a piggyback song so that you don’t have to find a CD. And if you don’t know a song, I am creating and uploading videos to the ABCJLM website for you to be able to watch!
Ooo…did you know that there are Interactive Bible Stories to lead you in teaching your child or students the Bible?
I could go on and on, because I am so excited for the potential in this curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten.
